Democracy, corruption and scams!

Seems 'corruption' is the buzz word these days. Everybody is talking about it.
If corruption in India is lot cried about, so is 'Democracy' in rest of world...
It started from Egypt and spreading all over the world  like liquid chocolate on ice cream ( :) I love that combination!)


Among these news, came sad news of Sonu Sinha.
These incidents with all these scams seems to have waken up few minds. Everybody seems to be crying about Government. "Government is not doing anything..."






Now I have few simple question


What is difference between democracy and autocracy?
Pretty simple. In autocracy people cry about everything and do nothing, in democracy people speak up for themselves and earn a life for themselves.
But what are we doing in India? We are just crying about everything. What kind of democracy is it, we can't do anything in our country to fight these!
Anna stood up and we all know what happened. But what have you done?
If anybody can fight all this is we, citizen. It's we who want democracy not politicians, so we should fight. Why are we expecting politicians to fight for us and not for themselves.
I think the problem is much deeper. We are in Generation which got Independence in gift from previous generation. Neither we have earned it nor we value it. So now when it's in danger we want others to solve it!
Why not we stand up for ourself?
If we don't do it, then whom we expect to do it?
